The 2010 season was a positive one for Corfe Mullen Cricket Club in many respects with some excellent performances on the field, the recruitment of lots of new players, numerous social events and generally a lot of fun along the way. There are still plenty of oppurtunities to play cricket during the off season however. The indoor cricket league at the Dorset Cricket Centre runs from September through to January, with Corfe playing in Division 1. Mid-week evening nets are also running from October to December at Lytchett Manor Sports Hall which all are welcome to attend, particularly any new players interested in joining the club. In the new year, Sunday morning nets are held at Ashdown Leisure Centre from January until the start of the cricket season in May. The club's A.G.M. will be held in February.

In 2011 the club will again be fielding league teams in Dorset Division 1 and 5 but will also be introducing a third team which will play friendlies against Division 8 teams. Thus the club will truly be able to cater for all cricketing abilities, from the complete beginner to the serious player. Additionally the club's most succesful side in 2010, the Sunday XI, will once more be playing in Division 3 of the Dorset Sunday League and the Mid-Week XI have also retained their status in Division 2 of the Wimborne Evening League and will be competing in the Campbell Cup, a competition where they were beaten finalists in 2010.

The database on this site contains scorecards and statistics from all matches played by the 1st XI dating back to the 2005 season and all matches played by the Sunday XI from the 2009 season. All the past club newsletters are available to download in the 'postings' section. To sign up to the newsletter, please send your email address to newsletter@corfemullencc.org.uk

Corfe Mullen Cricket Club is always looking for new players of all ages and abilities both male and female (a ladies team is a current possibility for 2011 if we can raise sufficient numbers). We are particularly keen to strengthen our squads for the 2011 season, so if you would like to play cricket at any level at a friendly club, from helping our 1st XI into the Dorset Premier League to playing a relaxed friendly on a summer afternoon and everything in between, we want to hear from you! Anyone interested in joining the club or finding out more should please contact the Vice Chairman or alternatively just come along to indoor nets where anyone will be most welcome.
